EMPHASIS: New Troopers Assigned To Troop E

Captain Jeffrey N. Vitale, commanding officer of Troop E, Poplar Bluff, is pleased to announce the assignment of five new troopers to Troop E. The new troopers were members of the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s 103rd Recruit Class that graduated from the Patrol Academy on December 30, 2016.

Trooper Eric L. Bennett, of Farmington, Missouri, has been assigned to Zone 3, which serves the citizens of Wayne County. Trooper Bennett is a graduate of Arcadia Valley High School and holds an Associate of Arts degree from Mineral Area College in Park Hills, Missouri. Trooper Bennett’s field training officer will be Trooper Kelly A. Barnett.

Trooper Chance D. Berry, of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, has been assigned to Zone 1, which serves the citizens of Butler and Ripley counties. Trooper Berry is a graduate of Poplar Bluff High School and holds a Bachelor of Arts from Lindenwood University in Belleville, Illinois. Trooper Berry’s field training officer will be Corporal Corey W. Tucker.

Trooper Cody D. Tucker, of Corning, Arkansas, has been assigned to Zone 8, which serves the citizens of New Madrid and Pemiscot counties. Trooper Berry is a graduate of Corning High School and holds an Associate of Arts degree from Three Rivers College in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. Trooper Tucker is married to Shalyn (Bearden) Tucker. Trooper Tucker’s field training officer will be Trooper Dylan L. DeJournett.

Trooper Nathan E. Griffin, of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, has been assigned to Zone 9, which serves the citizens of New Madrid and Pemiscot counties. Trooper Griffin is a graduate of Poplar Bluff High School and holds an Associate of Arts degree from Three Rivers College in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. Trooper Griffin’s field training officer will be Trooper Steven M. Spain.

Trooper Aaron T. Grainger, of Benton, Missouri, has been assigned to Zone 11, which serves the citizens of Stoddard County. Trooper Grainger is a graduate of Kelly High School. Trooper Grainger’s field training officer will be Corporal Richard D. Owens.
