EMPHASIS:
Results Of Special Enforcement Operation In Monett, Missouri
The Missouri State Highway Patrol’s Division of Drug and Crime Control announces the results of a special enforcement saturation in Monett, Missouri. On June 15, 2016, and June 16, 2016, Troop D narcotics investigators along with the Monett Police Department, Combined Ozarks Multi-Jurisdictional Enforcement Team (COMET), and the Ozarks Drug Enforcement Team (ODET) conducted a special enforcement operation aimed at the distribution and use of narcotics in and around the Monett area. The officers assigned to the enforcement operations conducted traffic enforcement with the goal of detecting impaired drivers and other traffic violations.
As a result of the operations, officers made one felony drug arrest, two misdemeanor drug arrests, arrested three subjects with outstanding arrest warrants, and conducted a total of 44 traffic stops. During these traffic stops officers issued 42 traffic citations and 58 warnings. The following is a list of traffic citations issued:
1 ─ Citation was issued for exceeding the speed limit.
1 ─ Citation was issued for a hazardous moving violation.
5 ─ Citations were issued for registration violations.
6 ─ Citations were issued for a driver’s license violations.
8 ─ Citations were issued for insurance violations.
21 ─ Citations were issued for seatbelt violations.
The only 100 percent survivable crash is the one that never happens. Make sure everyone in the vehicle is properly restrained in a seat belt or child restraint. Every day as we travel on Missouri’s roadways, we trust that every driver on the road is going to obey the speed limit, pay attention, and drive sober.
“Don’t Violate The Trust.”
