EMPHASIS: Troop B Promotions Effective April 1, 2026
Captain Erik A. Gottman, commanding officer of Troop B, Macon, announces the following promotions effective April 1, 2026.
Corporal Donald P. Borgmeyer will be promoted to sergeant and designated as the zone supervisor of Zone 8, Marion and Ralls counties. Borgmeyer was appointed to the Patrol on January 5, 2015. After graduating from the Patrol’s Law Enforcement Academy, he was assigned to Troop B, Zone 4, serving the citizens of Putnam and Sullivan counties. On August 1, 2016, he transferred from Zone 4 to Zone 5, serving the citizens of Adair and Schuyler counties. On February 1, 2022, he was promoted to corporal and assigned as the assistant zone supervisor of Zone 2, Macon and Shelby counties.
Sergeant Borgmeyer is a native of Fenton, MO, and graduated from Vianney High School in Kirkwood, MO. He holds an associate degree in finance from Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau, MO.
Corporal Lee C. Ewigman will be promoted to sergeant and remain in the Troop B Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Division. Ewigman was appointed to the Patrol on July 1, 2008. After graduating from the Patrol Academy, he was assigned to Troop C, Zone 19, serving the citizens of Lincoln and Pike counties. On October 1, 2011, he transferred from Troop C to Troop B, Zone 11, serving the citizens of Randolph and Monroe counties. On October 1, 2015, he transferred from Zone 11 to Zone 3, serving the citizens of Linn and Chariton counties. On June 1, 2021, he was promoted to corporal and designated the assistant zone supervisor of Zone 3. On July 17, 2022, he was assigned to the Troop B Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Division.
Sergeant Ewigman is from Linn County. He graduated from Marceline R-V High School in Marceline, MO. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Finance from the University of Missouri in Columbia, MO.
