EMPHASIS: Troop B Promotions Effective July 1, 2010


Captain James E. Wilt, commanding officer of Troop B, Macon, is pleased to announce the following Troop B promotions effective July 1, 2010.
Corporal Christopher Cerroni was promoted to sergeant and designated the zone commander of Zone 7, Knox and Lewis counties. Cerroni was appointed to the Patrol on January 1, 1993. After graduating from the Patrol Academy he was assigned to Troop B, Zone 4, Putnam and Sullivan counties. On February 1, 2001, he transferred to Troop C, and was stationed in Pacific, Missouri. On August 1, 2002, he transferred back to Troop B, Zone 5, Adair and Schuyler counties. On September 1, 2003, he was promoted to corporal and designated the assistant zone commander of Zone 6, Clark and Scotland counties. He is a native of Crestwood, Missouri, and graduated from Vianney High School in Kirkwood, Missouri. Cerroni holds a bachelor’s of arts degree in political science from the University of Missouri - St. Louis. Sergeant Cerroni and his wife, Kristie (Thompson), have two children: Chayton and Jared.
Corporal Timmy Shoop was promoted to sergeant and designated the zone commander of Zone 3, Chariton and Linn counties. Shoop was appointed to the Patrol on August 1, 1993. After graduating from the Patrol Academy he was assigned to Troop A, Clay County. On June 1, 2001, he transferred to Troop B, and was assigned to Zone 3, Chariton and Linn counties. On January 6, 2008, he was promoted to corporal and designated the assistant zone commander of Zone 3. He is a native of Chillicothe, Missouri, and graduated from Chillicothe High School. Prior to his appointment to the Patrol he served in the United States Army for four years. Sergeant Shoop has one daughter: Brooke.
Trooper Jason Mattingly was promoted to corporal and designated the assistant zone commander of Zone 11, Monroe and Randolph counties. Mattingly was appointed to the Patrol on October 16, 2001. After graduating from the Patrol Academy he was assigned to Troop B, Zone 5, Adair and Schuyler counties. On November 1, 2004, he transferred to Zone 11, Monroe and Randolph counties. He is a native of Paris, Missouri, and graduated from Paris R-2 High School. Mattingly holds a bachelor’s of science degree in criminal justice from the University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg, Missouri. Prior to his appointment to the Patrol he served as a deputy with the Monroe County Sheriff's Department. Corporal Mattingly and his wife, Cathy (Perry), have one son: Brandon.
