EMPHASIS: Operation E.R.I.N. Drug Warrant Sweep In Pettis County


Members of the Sedalia Police Department and the Missouri State Highway Patrol conducted a joint undercover drug investigation. This was a seven-month-long investigation initiated by the Sedalia Police Department and with the assistance of the Missouri State Highway Patrol Division of Drug and Crime Control.

The operation was named Enforcement Response and Interdiction of Narcotics (E.R.I.N.), which was a full-time drug investigation that focused largely on street-level drug deals in the Sedalia area. The operation started in May 2009. A total of 32 suspects were identified as a result of this investigation. The total bond amount on all of the active warrants is $9,195,000. In addition, some of the charges include the sale of drugs within 2,000 feet of a school. During the drug investigation, undercover officers purchased the following types of drugs:

Marijuana, crack cocaine, cocaine, methamphetamine, ecstasy, morphine, hash oil cake, imitation controlled substance, and drug paraphernalia.

On the morning of Thursday, December 3, 2009, the Highway Patrol’s Troop A SWAT team, Highway Patrol members from Troop A, members of the Missouri State Water Patrol, and officers from the Sedalia Police Department conducted a warrant sweep and arrested the following individuals from Sedalia on felony narcotics violations:

Boles, Randy E., 21, -- delivery of a controlled substance near a school (two counts, Class A felony); delivery of a controlled substance (two counts, Class B felony).
Brown, Demetrius D., 32, -- delivery of a controlled substance near a school (three counts, Class A felony).
Claxton, Demario M., 23, -- delivery of a controlled substance (Class B felony); delivery of a controlled substance in a public park (Class A felony).
Debates, Cory E., 18, -- delivery of a controlled substance near a school (Class A felony); delivery of an imitation controlled substance (Class D felony); delivery of drug paraphernalia (Class D felony).
Dixon, Anthony D., 51, -- delivery of a controlled substance (Class B felony)
Gray, Antonio T., 25, -- delivery of a controlled substance (three counts, Class A felony); possession with intent to deliver (Class A felony).
Fisher, Romone B., 21, delivery of a controlled substance near a school (Class A felony).
Irving, David W., 25, -- delivery of a controlled substance (Class B felony); possession with intent to deliver (Class B felony).
Johnson, George, 24, -- delivery of a controlled substance near a public park (Class A felony); delivery of a controlled substance near a school (Class A felony).
Kerr, Brandon T., 28, -- delivery of a controlled substance (Class B felony).
Kitarogers, William B., 20, -- delivery of a controlled substance (three counts, Class B felony).

Additional suspects remain at large. The investigation is ongoing with further arrests expected.

The charges for which these individuals have been arrested are mere accusations and are not evidence of guilt. Evidence in support of the charges must be presented before a court of competent jurisdiction whose duty is to determine guilt or innocence.
