EMPHASIS: Traffic Stop Yields Meth Lab, Arrests In Osage County
Captain Kyle Marquart, Director of the Division of Drug and Crime Control, announces the result of a joint narcotics investigation in Osage County.
On April 15, 2011, members of the Missouri State Highway Patrol and deputies from the Osage County Sheriff's Department arrested Robert Jennings Jr., 33, of Chamois, Missouri, and Jennifer Mathews, 36, of Chamois, for distribution of a controlled substance and possession of anhydrous ammonia. The arrest was a result of a traffic stop conducted at Missouri Route N and County Road 275 in northern Osage County. Located inside the vehicle was a methamphetamine laboratory along with methamphetamine making supplies. Jennings was held in the Osage County Jail pending release on a $75,000 bond for felony narcotics related charges. Mathews was also held in the Osage County Jail pending release on a $50,000 bond for felony narcotics related charges.
The above charges are mere accusations and are not evidence of guilt. Evidence in support of these charges must be presented before a court of competent jurisdiction whose duty is to determine guilt or innocence.
