EMPHASIS: Seventeen New Troopers Assigned To Troop C
Captain Ronald S. Johnson, commanding officer of Troop C, is pleased to recognize the graduation of the Highway Patrol’s 93rd Recruit Class. Of the 41 graduating troopers, 17 will be assigned to the Troop C area. The troopers completed 25 weeks of highly intense training at the Patrol’s Law Enforcement Academy in Jefferson City, MO. After the commencement ceremony, which was held on June 24, 2011, the new troopers will head to their new assignments and begin working their assigned zones on July 11, 2011, with a field training officer for approximately three months before working independently.
Fourteen of the new troopers received an associate’s of applied science degree from Mineral Area College based on their course work at the Academy. Dean Gil Kennon, vice president of college affairs for Mineral Area College, was present to confer these degrees.
The new troopers assigned to Troop C and their assignments are as follows:
Trooper Shane C. Anderson, 34, a native of St. Louis, MO was assigned to zone 8, serving St. Charles County. Tpr. Anderson is a graduate of Cleveland High School, St. Louis, MO and has a bachelor's of science degree in mechanical engineering from University Of Missouri, Rolla. Before his commission he worked for Pitney Bowes.
Trooper Katherine L. Aslin, 23, a native of Chesterfield, MO was assigned to zone 1, serving north St. Louis County. Tpr. Aslin is a graduate of Lafayette High School, Wildwood, MO and has a bachelor's of science degree in criminology from Missouri State University, Springfield. Before her commission she was a student.
Trooper Michael G. Autenrieth, 26, a native of Arlington Heights, IL was assigned to zone 8, serving St. Charles County. Tpr. Autenrieth is a graduate of Buffalo Grove High School, Buffalo, IL and has a bachelor's of science degree in sociology from Northern Illinois University, DeKalb, IL. Before his commission he worked for Sears in St. Louis, MO.
Trooper Zachary D. Bauer, 22, a native of Ste. Genevieve, MO was assigned to zone 10, serving Franklin County. Tpr. Bauer is a graduate of Ste. Genevieve High School, Ste. Genevieve, MO and has an associate of arts degree from Mineral Area College, Park Hills, MO. Before his commission he was a student.
Trooper Rachel A. Bronson, 22, a native of Centerville, IA was assigned to zone 5 serving Lincoln and Pike Counties. Tpr. Bronson is a graduate of Moravia High School, Moravia, IA and has an associate of arts degree in criminal justice from Indian Hills College, Ottumwa, IA. Before her commission she worked for the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Jefferson City, MO.
Trooper Kamilla L. Brown, 24, a native of Kansas City, MO was assigned to zone 8 serving St. Charles County. Tpr. Brown is a graduate of Paseo Academy High School, Kansas City, MO and has an associate of arts degree in criminal justice from the University Of Nebraska, Omaha, NE. Before her commission she worked for Allied/Barton security in Kansas City, MO.
Trooper Dustin J. Duffie, 25, a native of Macomb, IL was assigned to zone 19, serving Lincoln and Pike Counties. Tpr. Duffy is a graduate of Rushville High School, Rushville, IL and has a bachelor's of arts degree in criminal justice from Western Illinois University. Before his commission he worked for GEM City Armored in Quincy, IL.
Trooper Kordel L. Gibson, 30, a native of Tallahassee, FL was assigned to zone 10, serving Franklin County. Tpr. Gibson is a graduate of Godby High School, Tallahassee, FL and has a bachelor's of science degree in recreation from Georgia Southern University in Statesboro, GA. Before his commission he worked security for Pitan Security in Kansas City, MO.
Trooper Dwade F. Isringhausen, 22, a native of East Alton, IL was assigned to zone 2, serving northern St. Louis County. Tpr. Isringhausen is a graduate of Wood River High School, Wood River, IL and has a bachelor's of arts degree in criminal justice from the College Of The Ozarks, Point Lookout, MO. Before his commission he was a student.
Trooper Walter J. Luzenko, 23, a native of Boynton Beach, FL was assigned to zone 9, serving St. Charles County. Tpr. Luzenko is a graduate of Boca Raton Christian High School, Boca Raton, FL and has a bachelor's degree in criminology from Missouri State University, Springfield, MO. Before his commission he was a student.
Trooper Derek A. Mason, 25, a native of Ottawa, IL was assigned to zone 2, serving north St. Louis County. Tpr. Mason is a graduate of Ottawa High School, Ottawa, IL and has a bachelor's of science degree in criminal justice from Illinois State University, Normal, IL. Before his commission he worked in security in Bloomington, IL.
Trooper Kevin T. Moffat, 24, a native of Dover Plains, NY was assigned to zone 1, serving North St. Louis County. Tpr. Moffat is a graduate of Dover High School, Dover, NY and has a bachelor's of science degree in criminal justice from Canisius College, Buffalo, NY. Before his commission he worked as a personal trainer in Buffalo, NY.
Trooper Vincent M. Kasput, 23, a native of Chicago, IL was assigned to zone 12, serving Jefferson County. Tpr. Kasput is a graduate of Br. Rice High School, Chicago, IL and has a bachelor's of science degree in law enforcement from Western Illinois University, Macomb, IL. Before his commission he worked for Home Depot in Alsip, IL.
Trooper Bart F. Karnowski, 27, a native of St. Louis, MO was assigned to zone 10, serving Franklin County. Tpr. Karnaski is a graduate of Maplewood-Richmond Heights High School, St. Louis, MO and is working towards a bachelor's of science degree in social work from the University of Missouri, St. Louis, MO. Before his commission he was a student.
Trooper Adam D. Smith, 24, a native of Mansfield, MO was assigned to zone 11, serving Franklin County. Tpr. Smith is a graduate from Mansfield High School, Mansfield, MO and has a bachelor's of science degree in criminology from Missouri State University, Springfield, MO. Before his commission he worked as an EMT in West Plains, MO.
Trooper David M. Smith, 24, a native of Phillipsburg, NJ was assigned to zone 9, St. Charles County. Tpr. Smith is a graduate of Phillipsburg High School, Phillipsburg, NJ and has an associate of arts degree in criminal justice from Warren County Community College, Washington, NJ. Before his commission he worked as a security supervisor in Phillipsburg, NJ.
Trooper Anthony C. Vaughn, 23, a native of Springfield, MO was assigned to zone 3, serving south St. Louis County. Tpr. Vaughn is a graduate of Central High School, Springfield, MO and has a bachelor's of science degree in criminology from Missouri State University, Springfield, MO.
