EMPHASIS: Troop I Officer Recognized For Enforcement Accomplishments

Captain Lee Ann H. Kenley, commanding officer of Troop I, is pleased to announce that Trooper Brock Vogt has been recognized by the Law Enforcement Traffic Safety Advisory Council (L.E.T.S.A.C.), for his accomplishments in traffic enforcement.
On July 15, 2010, Tpr. Vogt was recognized at the annual L.E.T.S.A.C. conference, which was held at Port Arrowhead in Lake Ozark, Missouri. At their yearly conference, L.E.T.S.A.C. honors a Missouri State Highway Patrol trooper, and three other police officers from various sized departments, for their enforcement efforts.
Tpr. Vogt is assigned to Troop I, Zone 1, which is responsible for patrolling Phelps and Eastern Maries counties. During 2009, Tpr. Vogt made 1,661 arrests, issued 2,819 warnings, and investigated 89 traffic crashes. Of those arrests, 102 were for DWI, 38 were criminal felony arrests, and 65 for misdemeanor criminal arrests.
Cpt. Kenley stated, “Tpr. Vogt’s work habits are a testament of his desire to help make our highways and communities safer. Troop I is very proud of Tpr. Vogt’s accomplishments and his devotion to duty. It is indeed an honor for him to receive the prestigious L.E.T.S.A.C. “Traffic Officer of the Year” award.”
