EMPHASIS: Troop B Area High School Students Complete Patrol's Student Alliance Program
Captain James E. Wilt, commanding officer of Troop B, Macon, announces that 34 Troop B area high school students, representing 23 high schools, completed the 2011 Troop B Missouri State Highway Patrol Student Alliance Program. The program was conducted at the Troop B Headquarters in Macon, Missouri, on Saturday, March 12, 2011, and Saturday, March 19, 2011. During the two-day program, students were familiarized with many duties performed by a Missouri state trooper, and participated in hands-on activities such as firing a Glock pistol, stop and approach, crime scene investigations, and observing a polygraph demonstration. The program, which targeted junior and senior age high school students, was conducted to provide an opportunity for interested individuals to learn more about law enforcement and the Missouri State Highway Patrol. Each participant was presented a certificate of completion and a Missouri State Highway Patrol shirt.
