EMPHASIS: Arrest of James Bottorff





At 9:55 a.m., April 12, 2006, troopers from the Missouri State Highway Patrol arrested James D. Bottorff of St. Joseph on two counts of involuntary manslaughter in connection with a two-vehicle crash that occured on Route W in Buchanan County on April 3, 2006.



Mr. Bottorhoff was taken to the Buchanan County Law Enforcement Center and is being held on a 24-hour hold.



The information gathered that led to these charges being filed is considered evidence that is part of an on going investigation and cannot be released.

The charges for which the individual has been arrested are mere accusations and are not evidence of guilt. Evidence in support of the charges must be presented before a court of competent jurisdiction whose duty is to determine guilt or innocence.
