EMPHASIS: Train/Pedestrian Fatality In Camden County



At approximately 9 a.m., February 15, 2011, Troop I received a report of a fatality on Missouri Route T in Stoutland, MO, involving a train and a pedestrian.
The investigation by the Missouri State Highway Patrol trooper indicated that at approximately 9 a.m. today, Lois J. Grimes, 77, of Stoutland, was attempting to cross a set of two railroad tracks located on Route T when she was struck by a northbound BNSF freight train. At approximately 10:05 a.m., Grimes was pronounced dead by Camden County Sheriff’s Department Detective Chris Moehle, who was acting on behalf of the Camden County coroner.
