EMPHASIS: Troop C Assigns Fourteen New Troopers



Captain Ronald S. Johnson, commanding officer of Troop C, is pleased to recognize the graduation of the Highway Patrol’s 91st Recruit Class. Of the 27 graduating troopers, 14 will be assigned to the Troop C area. The troopers completed 27 weeks of highly intense training at the Patrol’s Law Enforcement Academy in Jefferson City, MO. After the commencement ceremony, which was held on July 23, 2010, the new troopers will head to their new assignments and begin working their assigned zones on August 9, 2010, with a field training officer for approximately three months before working independently.

Seven of the new troopers received an associate’s of applied science degree from Mineral Area College based on their course work at the Academy. Dean Gil Kennon, vice president of college affairs for Mineral Area College, was present to confer these degrees.

The new troopers assigned to Troop C and their assignments are as follows:

Trooper Angela M. Coval, 23, a native of St. Peters, MO, was assigned to Zone 9, serving St. Charles County. Coval is a graduate of Fort Zumwalt High school, St. Peters, MO and has a bachelor’s of arts degree in criminology from Maryville University, Chesterfield, MO. Before her commission, Coval worked as a radio operator for the Highway Patrol at Troop C, Weldon Spring.

Trooper Quinton L. DiNovi, 22, a native of Villa Ridge, MO, was assigned to Zone 4, serving St. Louis County. DiNovi is a graduate of Pacific High School, Pacific, MO, and has a bachelor’s of arts degree in criminal justice from Lindenwood University, St. Charles, MO. Before his commission, DiNovi was a student.

Trooper Craig D. Fieser, 25, a native of Springfield, MO, was assigned to Zone 4, serving St. Louis County. Fieser is a graduate of Cuba High school, Cuba, MO, and has a master's of science degree from Missouri State University, Springfield, MO. Before his commission, he worked for the Department of Homeland security.

Trooper Charles D. Gullett, 24, a native of Desoto, MO, was assigned to Zone 13, serving Jefferson County. Gullett is a graduate of Northwest High School, Cedar Hill, MO, and has a bachelor’s of science degree in criminology from Missouri State University, Springfield, MO. Before his commission, he was a corrections officer in Bonne Terre, MO.
Trooper Brandon A. Hall, 22, a native of Rogersville, MO, was assigned to Zone 3, serving St. Louis County. Hall is a graduate of Logan-Rogersville High School, Rogersville, MO, and has a bachelor’s of science degree in criminal justice from the College of the Ozarks. Before his commission, he was a student.

Trooper Kyle J. Isenberg, 27, a native of Jefferson City, MO, was assigned to Zone 3, serving St. Louis County. Isenberg is a graduate of Helias High School, Jefferson City, MO and has a bachelor’s of science degree in criminology and sociology from Missouri State University, Springfield, MO. Before his commission, he was youth specialist in Forsyth, MO.

Trooper Austin D. Lindgren, 28, a native of Princeton, MN, was assigned to Zone 8, serving St. Charles County. Lindgren is a graduate of Princeton High School, Princeton, MN, and has a bachelor’s of science degree from Rutgers University, Camden, NJ. Before his commission, he worked for UPS.

Trooper Jeremy R. McCurdy, 25, a native of Troy, IL, was assigned to Zone 11, serving Franklin County. McCurdy is a graduate of Triad High School, Troy, IL, and has a bachelor’s of science degree in criminal justice from University of Central Missouri, Warrensburg, MO. Before his commission, he worked as a teacher in St. James, MO.

Trooper Andrew P. Neff, 23, a native of St. Charles, MO, was assigned to Zone 9, serving St. Charles County. Neff is a graduate of St. Charles West High School, St. Charles, MO, and has a degree in pastoral ministries from Central Bible College, Springfield. Before his commission, he was a student.

Trooper Elisha A. Pape, 23, a native of Eureka, MO, was assigned to Zone 1, serving St. Louis County. Pape is a graduate of Eureka High School, Eureka, MO, and has a bachelor’s of science degree in justice systems from Truman State University, Kirksville. Before her commission, she was a student.

Trooper Joshua R. Summers, 22, a native of Archie, MO, was assigned to Zone 11, serving Franklin County. Summers is a graduate of Archie R-5 High School, Archie, MO, and has a bachelor’s of science degree in criminal justice from the College of the Ozarks. Before his commission, he was a student.

Trooper Evan M. VanWinkle, 23, a native of Van Buren, MO, was assigned to Zone 13, serving Jefferson County. VanWinkle is a graduate Van Buren High School, Van Buren, MO. Before his commission, he was a student.

Trooper Steven J. Washabaugh, 23, a native of Jefferson City, MO, was assigned to Zone 8, serving St. Charles County. Washabaugh is a graduate of Jefferson City High School, Jefferson City, MO, and has a bachelor’s of science degree in criminal justice from Columbia College, Columbia, MO. Before his commission, he was a student.

Trooper Jasmine D. Whittler, 24, a native of Springfield, MO, was assigned to Zone 8, serving St. Charles County. Whittler is a graduate of Glendale High School, Springfield, MO, and has an associate’s of applied sciences degree from Mineral Area College. Before her commission, she worked as a data entry operator for the Highway Patrol, GHQ, Jefferson City, MO.
