EMPHASIS: New Troopers Assigned to Troop I





Captain Randy Becker, Commanding Officer of Troop I in Rolla announces four new troopers have been assigned to Troop I. Following the completion of 27 weeks of intense training at the Missouri State Highway Patrol Law Enforcement Academy, a total of 37 new troopers were commissioned upon their graduation on May 7, 2005. Listed are the assignments of the new troopers assigned to Troop I and their field-training officers.



Trooper J. Wesley Collins, 25, a native of Hannibal, Missouri was assigned to Zone 4, Pulaski County. Trooper Collins is a graduate of Richmond High School and Southwest Baptist University where he earned a bachelor of science degree in Physical Education. Prior to his appointment he was employed as a minor league baseball umpire. Trooper Collins is married and has one child. His training officer will be Corporal Dottie Taylor.



Trooper Robert C. Creasey, 29, a native of Eldorado Springs, Missouri was assigned to Zone 7, Dent County. Trooper Creasey is a graduate of Weableau High School and Central Missouri State University, where he obtained a bachelor of science degree in Criminal Justice. Before his selection, Trooper Creasey served as an Assistant Administrator of the 30th Circuit Youth Services. Trooper Creasey is married and has one child. His training officer will be Trooper Jeffrey Cravens.



Trooper Donald K. Jones, 28, a native of West Frankfurt, West Germany was assigned to Zone 4, Pulaski County. Trooper Jones is a graduate of Ava High School and has attended Southwest Missouri State University, Drury University and Ozark Technical College in Springfield. Prior to his appointment he served as a Nixa Police Officer. Trooper Jones is married. His training officer will be Trooper Terry Gayer.



Trooper Jeremie L. Keathley, 29, a native of Farmington, Missouri was assigned to Zone 2, which patrols Phelps and Maries Counties. Trooper Keathley is a graduate of Jefferson City High School. Before his selection to the academy he served as a Commercial Vehicle Officer with the Highway Patrol in Foristell. His training officer will be Corporal Steve Childers
