Feature: Officer Level Access to DWITS is now available!

May 15, 2005

The DWI Tracking/Traffic Arrest System now handles user access broken down to the officer level. Individual LEAs can now have officers register as users. Registered officers will have "reader" access to the DWI system.

This is a feature that many of the medium-to-large agencies requested during training. Officers with notebook computers and Internet access will now be able to query and search this system without the involvement of their department communications resources. An officer will be able to see, not only any past convictions, but any outstanding (not yet prosecuted) offenses and also any offenses where charges were amended or where a conviction was not obtained.

To gain access to the system, an officer should go to dwits.mshp.dps.mo.gov and register as a new user.
