EMPHASIS: Traffic For 2012 Major League Baseball All-Star Game In Kansas City

Captain Robert L. Powell, commanding officer of Troop A Lee’s Summit, would like to encourage those who plan to attend any of the Major League Baseball All-Star Game festivities to plan ahead and leave in an adequate amount of time to arrive at the event without too much delay. The Major League All-Star Game is a nationally televised event which will bring numerous spectators to the Kansas City area, many of whom have never attended a game here before. Troopers will be diligently guiding authorized vehicles into Kauffman Stadium in the most expeditious manner possible, and ask for the public’s assistance by following the direction of the trooper. The public is also encouraged to sign up for text alerts, from July 6-10, regarding the various activities surrounding the Major League All-Star Game by texting, ALLSTARKC to 888777, to receive the most up-to-date traffic, road closures, and emergency notifications.
