EMPHASIS: Announcement Of Driving While Intoxicated Saturation

Captain Vincent J. Ellis, commanding officer of Troop A, Lee’s Summit, announces that sometime during the month of April, a driving while intoxicated saturation will take place in Troop A. The Missouri State Highway Patrol will conduct the operation. This is a program that concentrates troopers in an area to monitor traffic and check for intoxicated drivers.
“The weather is warming up and more people will be involved in outdoor activities,” said Captain Ellis. “Unfortunately, some will become intoxicated and operate a motor vehicle. The Missouri State Highway Patrol is dedicated to removing these intoxicated drivers before their behavior causes a traffic crash that devastates our families.”
The Missouri State Highway Patrol urges motorists to report erratic driving. The Patrol has two toll-free telephone numbers for reporting emergencies. Those numbers are: 1-800-525-5555 and cellular *55.
