EMPHASIS: Tour Of Missouri Comes To St. Joseph


Captain Duane L. Robinson, commanding officer of Troop H, in St. Joseph, announces the participation of Troop H in the Tour of Missouri bicycle race in St. Joseph on September 8, 2008. The Patrol will work with county and city law enforcement agencies to help ensure the safety of the route.
As a part of the security detail, the Patrol will be using Harley-Davidson FLHTP Electra Glide Police motorcycles from Troop A, in Lee’s Summit. The two motorcycles are dark “peace officer” blue, and each one has the Harley-Davidson 100th anniversary decal affixed to the fender. The Patrol currently has eight Harley-Davidsons in its fleet. They are assigned to the Troop A, Lee’s Summit, Troop C, St. Louis, and Troop D, Springfield areas.
The Patrol motorcycles can be seen before the race begins at the Missouri State Highway Patrol booth in downtown St. Joseph.
