EMPHASIS: Troop G Releases Results Of Sobriety Checkpoint/Saturation


Captain Dwayne F. Isringhausen, commanding officer of Troop G, releases the following information:

A total of 11 arrests and 33 warnings were issued in conjunction with a sobriety checkpoint conducted in Texas County on March 16, 2013, near the intersection of U.S. Business Highway 60 and Dunn Drive. Totals from this checkpoint include:

6-- seat belt summonses
2-- non-moving summonses
1-- no driver’s license summons
2-- felony drug arrests

A total of nine arrests and 16 warnings were issued in conjunction with a DWI saturation conducted in Ozark County on March 15, 2013. The designated highways for this saturation were U.S. Highway 160 and Missouri Highway 5. Totals from this saturation include:

3-- seat belt summonses
3-- non-moving summonses
2-- uninsured motorist summonses
1-- other hazardous moving violation summons


Captain Isringhausen says, “The motoring public has been very supportive of the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s efforts to make our roads safer through the use of sobriety checkpoints and special enforcement operations. Nobody wants to share the road with a drunk, drugged, or otherwise unsafe driver. Please do your part by driving safely.”
The Patrol encourages motorists and watercraft operators to protect themselves by making sure everyone in the vehicle is properly restrained in a seat belt or child restraint and everyone in the vessel is wearing an approved life jacket. Click It 4 Life and Wear It!!!
