EMPHASIS: Troop H Hosts Brake Safety AwarenessWeek


Captain Duane L. Robinson, commanding officer of Troop H in St. Joseph, announces the Patrol’s participation in “Brake Safety Awareness Week”. The program is designed as an educational outreach for trucking companies, drivers, and mechanics on how to make the proper brake adjustment limits. The program also teaches how to properly inspect air brake systems.
The program will be conducted in the Troop H area on the following dates:
August 27, 2007 -- at the Missouri Department of Transportation shed in Rock Port, located at U.S. Highway 136 and Missouri Highway 275, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
August 29, 2007 -- at Troop H Headquarters in St. Joseph from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.
August 31, 2007 -- at the old Missouri Department of Transportation building in Maryville, located at U.S. Highway 71 and Missouri Highway 46 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Commercial motor vehicles that participate in the program will not be ticketed for violations; instead, the proper brake adjustment will be made. For more information about the program, contact the Troop H Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Division at 816-387-2345.
