EMPHASIS: Troop I Investigators Recover Stolen Equipment

On June 26, 2007, Missouri State Highway Patrol troopers assigned to the Troop I unit of the Division of Drug and Crime Control recovered a stolen “Bobcat” and made an arrest for the theft.
Highway Patrol criminal investigators were requested to locate Lance R. Eikermann, 39, of Bourbon, MO, regarding the theft of a “Bobcat”, valued at $60,000. The troopers located Eikermann on a farm in rural Washington County, which subsequently led to the recovery of the equipment. Eikermann was arrested for felony possession of stolen property and an outstanding warrant for stealing, issued by St. Louis County. He was incarcerated in the Crawford County Jail in lieu of a 10,000 bond.
The charges for which Eikermann was arrested are mere accusations and are not evidence of guilt. Evidence in support of the charges must be presented before a court of competent jurisdiction, whose duty is to determine guilt or innocence.
