EMPHASIS: Safety Project - Boone County


Captain Gregory D. Kindle, commanding officer, Troop F Headquarters, Jefferson City, announced today the results of a commercial vehicle check that was held throughout Cole, Callaway, and Boone counties. During the operation, a total of 412 vehicles were inspected resulting in 584 violations. A total of 39 commercial vehicles and 10 drivers were placed out-of-service for serious violations and 119 citations were issued. In addition, four drug arrests, four drug paraphernalia arrests, and six warrant arrests occurred during the operation.

The Patrol encourages motorists and watercraft operators to protect themselves by making sure
everyone in the vehicle is properly restrained in a seat belt or child restraint and everyone in the vessel
is wearing an approved life jacket. Click It 4 Life and Wear It!!!!
