EMPHASIS: Troop B Officers To Conduct DWI Saturations During The Months Of April And May 2014

Captain James E. Wilt, commanding officer of Troop B, Macon, announces that sometime during the months of April and May 2014, Troop B officers will conduct DWI enforcement operations in Adair, Clark, Marion, Monroe, Ralls, and Scotland counties. During these operations, troopers will focus their attention on selected highways with a goal of detecting intoxicated drivers, hazardous moving violations, speed, and other traffic violations that cause traffic crashes.
"The Patrol is committed to removing intoxicated drivers from our highways," stated Captain Wilt. "I would like to urge all motorists to choose a sober designated driver if drinking alcohol is part of your plans."
In support of "The Drive To ZERO Highway Deaths," the Patrol encourages motorist and watercraft operators to protect themselves by making sure everyone in the vehicle is properly restrained in a seat belt or child restraint and everyone in the vessel is wearing an approved life jacket.
