EMPHASIS: Announcement Of Selective Traffic Enforcement Operation To Be Conducted In Shelby County


Captain John W. Elliott, commanding officer of Troop B, Macon, announces that on September 27, 2008, Troop B officers will be conducting a Selective Enforcement Operation in Shelby County. During the eight-hour enforcement operation, four additional troopers will be assigned to the Shelby County area, and will focus their attention on impaired drivers and other traffic violations that contribute to traffic crashes.
“In the past several months, Troop B officers have conducted numerous special traffic enforcement operations,” stated Captain Elliott. “The Patrol is very serious about reducing traffic crashes and ask motorist to do their part.”
