EMPHASIS: Patrol Announces Results Of DWI Saturation In St. Charles County


Captain Ronald S. Johnson, commanding officer of Troop C, Weldon Spring, announces the results of a driving while intoxicated saturation conducted during the month of May in St. Charles County. Four Missouri State Highway Patrol troopers conducted the eight-hour enforcement operation. The following is a combined list of the enforcement contacts made during the operation.

DWI Misdemeanor -- 2 arrests
Speed -- 13 summonses
Seat Belt -- 4 summonses
Other Hazardous Moving -- 4 summonses
Non Moving Traffic Violation -- 10 summonses
No Driver's License/Suspended/Revoked -- 2 summonses
No Insurance -- 4 summonses
Signal Light Violation -- 1 summons
Misdemeanor Criminal Arrest -- 1 arrest
Warnings -- 34

“Sobriety saturations are very important in making our highways a safer place to travel,” stated Captain Johnson. “Troop C officers will be conducting various special enforcement operations throughout 2013, with a goal of reducing traffic crashes and saving lives.”

In support of “The Drive To Zero Highway Deaths,” the Patrol encourages motorists to protect themselves and their passengers by making sure everyone in the vehicle is properly restrained in a seat belt or child restraint. Watercraft operators should ensure that everyone in the vessel is wearing an approved life jacket. Click It 4 Life And Wear It!!
