EMPHASIS: Troop B Promotions And Transfer


Captain James E. Wilt, commanding officer of Troop B, Macon, is pleased to announce the following Troop B promotions and transfer effective February 1, 2015.
Corporal Roland H. Bartels was promoted to sergeant and designated the zone commander of Zone 8, Marion and Ralls counties. Bartels was appointed to the Patrol on July 1, 1996, and after graduating from the Patrol Academy was assigned to Troop B, Zone 8. On March 9, 2003, he was promoted to corporal and designated the assistant zone commander of Zone 9, Marion and Ralls counties. He is a native of Kahoka, Missouri, and graduated from Clark County R-1 High School. He holds a bachelor's of science degree in industrial science from Truman State University (formerly Northeast Missouri State University), in Kirksville, Missouri. Prior to his appointment to the Patrol, he was employed by the Missouri Department of Transportation in Macon, Missouri, where he served as an engineering technician. He and his wife, Dana (Miller), have two children.
Trooper Lane P. Quinn was promoted to corporal and designated the assistant zone commander of Zone 11, Monroe and Randolph counties. Quinn was appointed to the Patrol on January 16, 2009, and after graduating from the Patrol Academy was assigned to Troop B, Zone 4, Putnam and Sullivan counties. On May 1, 2011, he transferred to Zone 3, Chariton and Linn counties. He is a native of Salisbury, Missouri, and graduated from Salisbury High School. He holds a bachelor's degree in history from the University of Missouri, in Columbia, Missouri. He is married to Amanda (Gladbach) Quinn.
Corporal Paul M. Behrens will transfer from Zone 11, Monroe and Randolph counties to Zone 9, Marion and Ralls counties, where he will serve as the assistant zone commander. Behrens was appointed to the Patrol on January 1, 1997, and after graduating from the Patrol Academy was assigned to Troop B, Zone 11, Monroe and Randolph counties. On June 1, 1999, he transferred to Zone 7, Knox and Lewis counties. He transferred to the Patrol's Gaming Division and was assigned to the Mark Twain Casino in LaGrange, Missouri, on August 1, 2001. On August 22, 2004, he transferred to Troop B, Zone 9. He was promoted to corporal on April 1, 2014, and was designated the assistant zone commander of Zone 11. He is a native of Quincy, Illinois, and graduated from Quincy Senior High School. He holds a bachelor's of science degree in law enforcement administration from Western Illinois University in Macomb, Illinois. He and his wife, Christie (Keller), have two children.
