EMPHASIS: Troop C Announces Results Of "Operation A.R.R.E.S.T." In Franklin County


Captain Ronald S. Johnson, commanding officer Troop C, Weldon Spring, is pleased to announce the results of a recent enforcement detail “Operation A.R.R.E.S.T.” (Alcohol Related Response Enforcement Strike Team). The purpose of Operation A.R.R.E.S.T. is to increase the motoring public’s awareness of the hazards of operating a motor vehicle while in an intoxicated condition.

Operation A.R.R.E.S.T. was conducted from 7 p.m. on Saturday, September 15, 2013, to 3 a.m. on Sunday, September 16, 2013, in Franklin County. This eight-hour project was conducted by six officers, who focused their enforcement efforts on identifying hazardous motor vehicle violations. The following is a breakdown of the enforcement contacts:

Speed -- 4 summonses
Seat Belt -- 5 summonses
Hazardous Moving Violations -- 7 summonses
Non-Moving Violations -- 5 summonses
No Driver License -- 1 summons
No Insurance -- 3 summonses
Driving While Intoxicated -- 4 arrests
Warnings -- 36

"The Missouri State Highway Patrol is very serious about removing impaired drivers from our roadways," stated Captain Johnson. "If drinking alcohol is a part of your plans, please choose a sober designated driver."

The Missouri State Highway Patrol encourages motorists and vessel operators to protect themselves by making sure everyone in the vehicle is properly restrained in a seat belt or child restraint and everyone in the vessel is wearing an approved life jacket. Click It 4 Life and Wear It!!!
