EMPHASIS: Troop C Announces Results Of "Operation A.R.R.E.S.T." In Franklin County



Captain Ronald S. Johnson, commanding officer Troop C, Weldon Spring, is pleased to announce the results of a recent enforcement detail “Operation A.R.R.E.S.T.” (Alcohol Related Response Enforcement Strike Team). The purpose of Operation A.R.R.E.S.T. is to increase the motoring public’s awareness of the hazards of operating a motor vehicle while in an intoxicated condition.

Operation A.R.R.E.S.T. was conducted from 7 p.m. on Saturday, December 22, 2012, to 3 a.m. on Sunday, December 23, 2012, in Lincoln County. This eight-hour project was conducted by six officers, who focused their enforcement efforts on identifying hazardous motor vehicle operations.

Speed -- 6 summons
Seat Belt --12 summonses
Hazardous Moving Violations -- 5 summonses
Non-Moving Violations -- 3 summonses
No Driver's License -- 2 summonses
Driving While Suspended or Revoked -- 1 summons
No Insurance -- 1 summons
Misdemeanor Warrant Arrests -- 5 arrests
Warnings -- 35


"The Missouri State Highway Patrol is very serious about removing impaired drivers from our roadways," stated Captain Johnson. "If drinking alcohol is a part of your plans, please choose a sober designated driver."

The Patrol encourages motorists to protect themselves from all types of hazardous drivers by making sure everyone in the vehicle is properly restrained in a seat belt or child restraint. Click It 4 Life!
