EMPHASIS: Corporal Nicholas Berry Promoted To Sergeant


Captain John W. Elliott, commanding officer of Troop B, Macon, announces the promotion of Corporal Nicholas D. Berry effective October 1, 2008.
Corporal Nicholas D. Berry, of Kirksville, Missouri, was promoted to the rank of sergeant. He has been designated the zone commander of Zone 10, which serves Monroe and Randolph counties. Berry, a native of Hazelwood, Missouri, was appointed to the Patrol on November 1, 1994. After graduating from the Patrol Academy, he was assigned to Troop B, Zone 9, and was stationed in Hannibal, Missouri. On February 1, 2001, he was promoted to corporal and designated the assistant zone commander of Zone 5, which serves Adair and Schuyler counties. He is a graduate of Hazelwood West Senior High School and holds an associate’s degree in criminal justice from Troy State University in Dothan, Alabama. He is married to Rochelle (Mathers) Berry, a native of northern California, and they have four grown children.
