EMPHASIS: Troop G Releases Special Operation Totals


Captain Mark G. Inman, commanding officer of Troop G, releases the following information:

A total of 39 arrests and 48 warnings were issued in conjunction with a hazardous moving violations/S.T.E.P. operation conducted in Douglas County on April 4, 2014. The operation was conducted on Missouri Highway 5, Missouri Highway 14, and Missouri 76. Totals from this enforcement effort include:

7 -- speed summonses
8 -- seat belt summonses
1 -- other hazardous moving violation summons
3 -- non-moving offense summonses
1 -- no driver’s license summons
1 -- driving while suspended/revoked summons
3 -- uninsured motorist summonses
1 -- felony DWI arrest
4 -- minor in possession of intoxicating liquor summonses

Captain Inman says, “Motorists traveling on Missouri’s roadways can expect that members of the Missouri State Highway Patrol will be striving to do all we can to rid our roads of unsafe drivers. Please help us by being the safest driver you can possibly be. Always pay attention to the task of driving, and please wear your seat belt at all times.”

In support of “The Drive To ZERO Highway Deaths,” the Patrol encourages motorists and watercraft operators to protect themselves by making sure everyone in the vehicle is properly restrained in a seat belt or child restraint and everyone in the vessel is wearing an approved life jacket.
