EMPHASIS: 102nd Recruit Class Training At Missouri State Highway Patrol Law Enforcement Academy

Colonel J. Bret Johnson, superintendent of the Missouri State Highway Patrol, announces that 41 people reported to the Missouri State Highway Patrol Law Enforcement Academy on January 4, 2016, to begin the 25-week training course to become a trooper. The 102nd Recruit Class is scheduled to graduate on June 24, 2016. As of February 18, 2016, 28 recruits remain in the Academy. The average age of the members of the 102nd Recruit Class is 26 years. Six of the recruits have attended some college, two have earned an associate’s degree, seven have credits that total more than an associate’s degree, 10 hold bachelor’s degrees, and one is working on a master’s degree. Eleven of the recruits have prior military experience; four of the recruits have prior experience in law enforcement.
