EMPHASIS: Troop G Announces Promotions


Captain Mark G. Inman, commanding officer of Troop G, Willow Springs, announces the following promotions:
Corporal Dale B. Pounds has been promoted to the rank of sergeant, and designated the zone supervisor of Troop G, Zone 8, Texas County.
Pounds is a native of Houston, Missouri, and is a graduate of Houston High School. He entered the Patrol's Law Enforcement Academy on October 18, 2004, as a member of the Patrol's 83rd Recruit Class. Upon graduating, he was assigned to Troop E, Zone 8, Pemiscot and New Madrid counties. In 2007, Pounds transferred to Troop G where he was promoted to corporal in August 2012. Sergeant Pounds is married to Brenda (Kahler) Pounds.

Trooper Terry R. Nelson has been promoted to the rank of corporal, and designated the assistant zone supervisor of Troop G, Zone 2, Texas County.
Nelson is a native of Licking, Missouri, and is a graduate of Licking High School. He has an associate's degree in criminal justice from Mineral Area College, Park Hills, Missouri. He entered the Patrol's Law Enforcement Academy on March 15, 2000, as a member of the Patrol’s 77th Recruit Class. Upon graduating, he was assigned to Troop H, Zone 10, Davies and Dekalb counties. In 2002, Corporal Nelson transferred to Troop G, Zone 2. Corporal Nelson is married to Vicki (Gunter) Nelson, who serves as the chief driver examiner at Troop G Headquarters. The couple has two grown children, Joseph Nelson and Whitney Rohman.
