EMPHASIS: Troop I Announces Results Of DWI Saturation

Captain Lee Ann H. Kenley, commanding officer of Troop I, announces the results of a driving while intoxicated saturation patrol conducted on July 2, 2011, in Pulaski County. During the operation one individual was arrested for driving while intoxicated and two arrests were made for misdemeanor drug offenses. The following citations were also issued: four speed violations, two seat belt violations, one child restraint violation, three hazardous moving violations, one non-moving traffic offense, two driver license violations, and three for uninsured motorists. In addition to these citations, 38 warnings were also issued.

Captain Kenley stated, “Inattention is the leading cause of all traffic crashes. However, thirty percent of all fatal crashes in Missouri are alcohol related. Why take any unnecessary risk. If you are going to drink, make the wise and safe decision to designate a sober driver before you start.”
