EMPHASIS: Click It Or Ticket Enforcement Project Results

A total of 50 citations and 55 warnings were issued in conjunction with a Click It or Ticket seat belt enforcement operation conducted in Texas County on December 19, 2015. Totals from this enforcement effort include:

15 -- seat belt citations
1 -- child restraint citation
19 -- speed citations
7 -- non-moving violation citations
3 -- no driver’s license citations
5 -- uninsured motorists citations
3 -- misdemeanor warrant arrests

“Motorists traveling on Missouri’s roadways can expect members of the Missouri State Highway Patrol will do all they can to rid our roads of unsafe drivers," said Captain Inman. "Please help us by being the safest driver you can possibly be. Always pay attention to the task of driving, and please wear your seat belt at all times.”

Approximately 63 percent of Missouri fatal crash victims who are required to be restrained are NOT at the time of the traffic crash. The Patrol urges motorists to protect themselves and their passengers by making sure everyone in the vehicle is properly restrained in a seat belt or child restraint. Join us in supporting the Drive To Zero Highway Deaths. Watercraft operators should ensure that everyone in the vessel is wearing an approved life jacket. Click It 4 Life And Wear It!!
