EMPHASIS: Results Of Impaired Driving Enforcement Project In Taney County


Captain Juan Villanueva, commanding officer of Troop D, Springfield, announces the results of a three-day driving while intoxicated saturation in Taney County. The enforcement project involved six troopers concentrating their efforts from Thursday, September 12 through Saturday, September 14.

A total of 298 drivers were stopped during the operation, and the following is a list of the enforcement contacts:

Driving While Intoxicated -- 7
Seat Belt -- 98
Child Restraint Violations -- 7
Drivers License Violations -- 21
Speed -- 12
Uninsured Motorists -- 55
Hazardous Moving Violations -- 5
Non-moving -- 40
Felony & Misdemeanor Drug Arrests -- 14
Felony & Misdemeanor Warrant Arrests -- 11
Warnings -- 521

The Missouri State Highway Patrol encourages motorists and watercraft operators to protect themselves by making sure everyone in the vehicle is properly restrained in a seat belt or child restraint and everyone in the vessel is wearing an approved life jacket. Click It 4 Life and Wear It!!!
