EMPHASIS: Announcement Of Driving While Intoxicated Saturations In Troop D

Captain Juan Villanueva, commanding officer of Troop D, Springfield, announces several driving while intoxicated saturations that will be conducted sometime during the month of August 2011. A driving while intoxicated saturation will be held in Lawrence, Taney, Vernon and Webster counties, where troopers assigned to the saturation will concentrate their efforts on highways which have been found to have a high number of alcohol-related crashes and enforcement contacts.

Captain Villanueva states, “The job of law enforcement is to enforce all laws and apprehend violators. The objective of DWI enforcement projects is to deter drinking and driving, and make citizens aware that drinking and driving will not be tolerated.”

To report a suspected intoxicated driver dial 9-1-1 or *55 on your cellular phone.
