EMPHASIS: Troop G Releases Results Of S.T.E.P./Hazardous Moving Operation
Captain Billy E. Chadwick, commanding officer of Troop G, releases the following information:
A total of 215 arrests and 108 warnings were issued in conjunction with a S.T.E.P./Hazardous Moving Violations Operation held in Troop G this past weekend. The operation was held in Shannon County at the intersection of Missouri Highway 19 and Route A.
These totals include, one misdemeanor DWI arrest, 30 seat belt arrests, seven driver’s license arrests, three other hazardous moving violation arrests, five non-moving arrests, and 25 uninsured motorist arrests. Officers also made 23 felony drug arrests, three felony warrant arrests, 108 misdemeanor drug arrests, eight minor-in-possession arrests, and two misdemeanor warrant arrests.
Captain Chadwick says, “Traveling is inherently dangerous. When you add intoxicated and drugged drivers to the equation the danger increases greatly. Our officers will continue to vigorously enforce the law in an attempt to keep our roadways safer.”
