EMPHASIS: Troop I Announces DWI Saturation Results

Captain Lee Ann H. Kenley, commanding officer of Troop I, announces the results of a DWI saturation that was conducted on January 1, 2011, in Crawford County.
During the operation, the three assigned troopers issued four citations for speed, made two arrests on misdemeanor warrants, and issued one summons for each of the following offenses: a non-moving traffic violation, a driver’s license violation, and a driver not having or possessing proof of vehicle insurance. The troopers also issued 16 warnings for various traffic offenses.
Captain Kenley stated, “As a new year begins, I again want to remind motorists that making our highways safer begins with each and every one of us. Remember, that inattention, speed, and driving while impaired are the causes of most all traffic crashes. By following the rules of the road, you can greatly reduce your chances of becoming an unnecessary statistic.”
