EMPHASIS: Announcement Of Boating While Intoxicated Saturation

Captain Duane L. Robinson, commanding officer of Troop H in St. Joseph, announces that sometime during the month of August, a boating while intoxicated saturation will be held in Troop H. The Missouri State Highway Patrol will conduct the saturation. A total of two troopers will be assigned to the eight-hour operation.
The focus of this project is to detect impaired boaters and watch for hazardous boating operations that contribute to boating crashes.
Captain Duane L. Robinson stated, “Alcohol impairs a person’s ability to operate a vessel just the same as a motor vehicle. Troopers assigned to the Patrol’s marine operations will be observant for these violations and take appropriate actions."
