EMPHASIS: Troop C Brings The H.E.A.T.


Captain Ronald S. Johnson, commanding officer of Troop C, Weldon Spring, announces that on Friday, June 26, 2010, Troop C officers will be partnering with other law enforcement agencies across the state as part of the High Enforcement Action Team (HEAT). Troop C officers will be joining other participating agencies in focusing enforcement activity on Interstate 70 for a 24-hour period. Members of the Missouri State Highway Patrol have taken a zero tolerance stance on impaired driving, excessive speed, seat belt, and other hazardous moving violations to help reduce injuries and fatalities associated with traffic crashes.

"This project is another tool in our toolbox to help reduce the number of fatalities in the troop C area," stated Captain Johnson. "Currently, fatalities are down 14% statewide, and we hope to continue this trend.”
