EMPHASIS:
Troop D Announces Officer On A Train Enforcement Results
From 11a.m. to 1 p.m., on Thursday, September 15, 2016, the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Kansas City Southern Railway Company (KCSR), Jasper County Sheriff’s Office, and Joplin Police Department hosted an Officer on a Train event in Joplin. The following is a list of the enforcement contacts made during the operation.
Vehicles Contacted -- 12
Railroad Crossing Violations -- 7
Insurance Violation -- 1
Seat Belt Violation -- 1
Officers also issued seven warnings for various other traffic violations during this operation.
The only 100 percent survivable traffic crash is the one that never happens. Make sure everyone in the vehicle is properly restrained in a seat belt or child restraint. Every day as we travel on Missouri’s roadways, we trust that every driver on the road is going to obey the speed limit, pay attention, and drive sober.
“Don’t Violate The Trust.”
