EMPHASIS: Troop G Releases Checkpoint Results


Captain Billy E. Chadwick, commanding officer of Troop G, releases the following information:

A total of 30 summonses and 64 warnings were issued in conjunction with a sobriety checkpoint conducted in Texas County on March 13 on U.S. Highway 63 near the commuter parking lot at Cabool. Totals from this checkpoint include:

1 -- misdemeanor DWI arrest
12 -- seat belt summonses
1 -- child restraint summons
2 -- driver’s license summonses
4 -- non-moving summonses
7 -- no-insurance summonses
2 -- misdemeanor drug arrests
1 -- misdemeanor warrant arrest

Captain Chadwick says, “Please don’t drink and drive, wear your seat belt, and always exercise the highest degree of care when you get behind the wheel.”
