EMPHASIS: Troop I To Host Corporal Michael E. Webster Memorial Blood Drive

Captain James W. Remillard, commanding officer of Troop I, would like to invite the public to take part in the “Red Cross, Troop I Michael E. Webster Memorial Blood Drive” on Friday, October 3, 2014. The blood drive will be held at the Troop I Headquarters located at 1301 Nagogami Road West, Rolla, Missouri. The drive will begin at noon and conclude at 4 pm. All presenting donors are reminded to please have a photo ID present. Those who participate will also receive a complimentary gift bag.
On October 2, 1993, Corporal Michael E. Webster was killed in the line of duty by a drunk driver. Since his untimely death, blood drives like this one have honored his service to the community. Someone is killed or injured in an alcohol-related crash every two hours in Missouri. Alcohol was involved in 30% of all fatal crashes during 2013. Drunk drivers killed 239 people and injured 3,804 in Missouri traffic crashes last year. The Webster family, Missouri State Highway Patrol, and the American Red Cross want to encourage everyone to come out and support the Michael E. Webster Blood Drive.
