Captain Juan Villanueva, commanding officer of Troop D, announces the results of DWI saturations in Christian and Newton counties conducted on March 18 and 19, 2016, respectively. Captain Villanueva stated, “The motoring public has been very supportive of the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s efforts to make our roads safer through the use of special enforcement operations. Nobody wants to share the road with a drunk, drugged, or otherwise unsafe driver. Please do your part by driving safely.”

Approximately 63 percent of Missouri fatal crash victims who are required to be restrained are NOT at the time of the traffic crash. The Patrol urges motorists to protect themselves and their passengers by making sure everyone in the vehicle is properly restrained in a seat belt or child restraint.
