EMPHASIS: Troop G Releases Results Of Sobriety Checkpoint/DWI Saturation

Captain Dwayne F. Isringhausen, commanding officer of Troop G, releases the following information:

A total of 15 arrests and 16 warnings were issued in conjunction with a sobriety checkpoint conducted in Texas County on August 20, 2011, near the intersection of U.S. Highway 60 and Dunn Road. Totals from this checkpoint include:

1 -- misdemeanor DWI arrest
2 -- seat belt summonses
2 -- driver’s license summonses
6-- uninsured motorist summonses
2-- misdemeanor drug arrests
2-- misdemeanor warrant arrests

A total of 13 arrests and 19 warnings were issued in conjunction with a DWI Saturation conducted in Wright County on August 20, 2011. The designated highways for this saturation were U.S. Highway 60, Missouri Route 95, and Missouri Route 5. Totals from this saturation include:

1 -- felony warrant arrest
1-- C&I summons
4-- speed summonses
3 -- seat belt summonses
1-- non-moving violation summons
2 -- misdemeanor drug arrests
1 -- misdemeanor warrant arrest

Captain Isringhausen says, “The motoring public has been very supportive of the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s efforts to make our roads safer through the use of sobriety checkpoints and special enforcement operations. Nobody wants to share the road with a drunk, drugged, or otherwise unsafe driver. Please do your part by driving safely.”
