EMPHASIS: Troop G Releases Results Of Sobriety Checkpoint/DWI Saturation


Captain Dwayne F. Isringhausen, commanding officer of Troop G, releases the following information:

A total of 22 arrests and 16 warnings were issued in conjunction with a sobriety checkpoint conducted in Howell County on December 15, 2012, near the intersection of U.S. Highway 160 and State Route JJ. Totals from this checkpoint include:

1-- misdemeanor DWI arrest
7-- seat belt summonses
5-- non-moving summonses
1-- no driver’s license summons
1-- driving while suspended/ revoked summons
4-- uninsured motorist summonses
1-- misdemeanor warrant arrest
2-- minor-in-possession summonses

A total of 22 arrests and 25 warnings were issued in conjunction with a DWI saturation conducted in Texas County on December 14, 2012. The designated highways for this saturation were U.S. Highway 60, U.S. Highway 63, U.S. Business 60, and Missouri Route MM. Totals from this saturation include:

3-- misdemeanor DWI arrests
3-- speed summonses
1-- failed to yield summons
6-- seat belt summonses
2-- other hazardous moving violations summonses
3-- non-moving summonses
2-- driving while suspended/ revoked summonses
2-- uninsured motorist summonses




Captain Isringhausen says, “The motoring public has been very supportive of the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s efforts to make our roads safer through the use of sobriety checkpoints and special enforcement operations. Nobody wants to share the road with a drunk, drugged, or otherwise unsafe driver. Please do your part by driving safely.”
