EMPHASIS: Troop C Announces Results Of "Operation A.R.R.E.S.T." In Lincoln County



Captain Ronald S. Johnson, commanding officer Troop C, Weldon Spring, is pleased to announce the results of a recent enforcement detail “Operation A.R.R.E.S.T.” (Alcohol Related Response Enforcement Strike Team). The purpose of Operation A.R.R.E.S.T. is to increase the motoring public’s awareness of the hazards of operating a motor vehicle while in an intoxicated condition.

Operation A.R.R.E.S.T. was conducted from 7 p.m. on Friday, August 16, 2013, to 3 a.m. on Saturday, August 17, 2013, in Lincoln County. This eight-hour project was conducted by six officers, who focused their enforcement efforts on identifying hazardous motor vehicle operations. The following is a breakdown of enforcement contacts:

Speed -- 7 summonses
Stop Sign Violation -- 1 summons
Seat Belt -- 6 summonses
Hazardous Moving Violations -- 6 summonses
Non-Moving Violations -- 8 summonses
Driving While Suspended Or Revoked -- 1 summons
No Insurance -- 2 summonses
Driving While Intoxicated -- 5 arrests
Misdemeanor Drug Possession -- 2 arrests
Warnings -- 24


"The Missouri State Highway Patrol is very serious about removing impaired drivers from our roadways," stated Captain Johnson. "If drinking alcohol is a part of your plans, please choose a sober designated driver."
