EMPHASIS: Troop F Officer Promotion

Captain Gregory D. Kindle, commanding officer, Troop F, Missouri State Highway Patrol, announced that Trooper David F. Echternacht will be promoted to the rank of corporal effective April 1, 2014. He will assume the responsibilities of assistant zone supervisor, Zone 17, Lake of the Ozarks.
Echternacht is a 1995 graduate of Grand Island Senior High School in Grand Island, Nebraska. In 1999, he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Nebraska.
Echternacht became a member of the Missouri State Highway Patrol on January 1, 2011, after the merger with the Missouri State Water Patrol. He was assigned to Zone 16, Lake of the Ozarks as a marine operations trooper. Corporal Echternacht is married and has two children.
In support of "The Drive To ZERO Highway Deaths," the Patrol encourages motorists and watercraft operators to protect themselves by making sure everyone in the vehicle is properly restrained in a seat belt or child restraint and everyone in the vessel is wearing an approved life jacket.
