EMPHASIS: Announcement Of Sobriety Checkpoint

Captain Duane L. Robinson, commanding officer of Troop H in St. Joseph, announces that sometime during the month of April, Troop H will conduct a sobriety checkpoint. The checkpoint will be held in Nodaway County.
The checkpoint is a static operation on a specific highway designed to check every driver to ensure they are sober.
Captain Robinson stated, “Motorists who enter the checkpoint will be there for only a few minutes and will leave with the peace of mind that the other drivers around them are sober.”
Captain Robinson urges you to telephone the Patrol if you observe any vehicle being driven in an erratic manner. Drivers can use the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s toll-free numbers for reporting emergencies. These numbers are, 1-800-525-5555 or cellular * 55.
