EMPHASIS: Troop G Announces Results Of Special Enforcement Operation

Captain Mark G. Inman, commanding officer of Troop G, releases the following information:

A total of 22 citations and 38 warnings were issued in conjunction with a hazardous moving violation enforcement operation conducted in Howell County on January 31, 2015. Also, during the operation, troopers made two misdemeanor drug arrests. The designated highways for this operation were U.S. Highways 160/63 and Missouri Highway 17. Totals from this operation include:

4 -- speed citations
7 -- seat belt citations
1 -- hazardous moving violation citation
5 -- non-moving violation citations
1 -- no driver's license citation
4 -- uninsured motorist citations
1 -- misdemeanor warrant arrest
2 -- misdemeanor drug arrests


Captain Inman says, 'Hazardous moving violation operations are one tool the Missouri State Highway Patrol uses in order to make our roadways a safer place for Missouri's motorists. Please be careful when behind the wheel and always be a safe, courteous driver.'

In support of 'The Drive To ZERO Highway Deaths,' the Patrol encourages motorists to protect themselves and their passengers by making sure everyone in the vehicle is properly restrained in a seat belt or child restraint.
