EMPHASIS: Announcement Of Sobriety Checkpoint & Driving While Intoxicated Saturation

Captain Duane L. Robinson, commanding officer of Troop H, St Joseph, announces that sometime during the month of March, Troop H will conduct a sobriety checkpoint and a driving while intoxicated saturation. The sobriety checkpoint will be held in Andrew County and the saturation will be conducted in Livingston County.
The checkpoint is a static operation on a specific highway that is designed to check every driver to ensure they are sober. The driving while intoxicated saturation is a mobile operation in which troopers saturate a specific highway in an effort to arrest intoxicated drivers.
Captain Robinson urges the public to report all impaired drivers. To report impaired drivers, motorists can use the Patrol’s emergency telephone numbers. They are 1-800-525-5555 or cellular *55.
